What Wine Goes With Spaghetti Bolognese?

  • Rich, slow-cooked meat sauce needs a wine that can match its depth.
  • Best Matches:

Sangiovese (Chianti) → classic Italian pairing
Barbera → high acidity cuts richness
    Shiraz → bold and full-bodied
👉 Match weight + balance acidity.
  • Notes (kooks Tips)

Don’t rush the simmer—flavour builds over time (minimum simmer for 45 minutes but simmer for as long as you can).
Season at the end, not the start
A splash of pasta water helps bring it together
